SUMMER BAND OPPORTUNITIES

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Summer is coming! What do I do with my band student?

As the school year enters the final chapter and students get antsy in anticipation of summer sun and fun, now is a good time to start thinking about adding fun, music-related activities to your summer plans.

Below is information on summer lessons and summer camps to consider for your student to keep their skills fresh during the summer break and make life-long memories in the process!

Summer Lessons Program

If your student is taking lessons or would like to start taking private lessons, they can do so over the summer! Our entire private lesson staff is available over the summer for weekly lessons. Summer lessons are a great way to catch up on any fundamentals and even push ahead! We highly recommend summer lessons!

This year, the Moore Band Hall will be open every Wednesday through the Summer to help facilitate private lessons.

If you are interested in having your student take lessons over the summer, contact their teacher directly to set up a summer schedule. If you need contact information for lesson teachers, you can visit our website here. If you would like to start private lessons for the first time, fill out this google form and a lesson teacher will contact you to set up the first lesson!

SUMMER BAND CAMPS (Across Texas!)

Another exciting opportunity for your student are summer music camps in Texas! These multi-day events offer opportunities to work with renowned faculty and staff in world-class venues and facilities. Additionally, your student will get the opportunity to meet and perform with students from around the state who share the passion of music-making. Not to mention, summer music camps are a lot of fun!

Most camps have some level of financial commitment depending on the time frame and other factors. Below are several camps around our area that you may want to research. Many have great websites that give you all of the information you would need.
